As hardware require air supply, the motherboard is always in contact with the outside air. The benefit is to reduce the heat generated by cipset. The motherboard can be damaged if the temperature is too high. Therefore, the supply air should flow well as a way of caring for a good motherboard.But please note, not necessarily free to air free from dust. It could be the incoming air to the CPU carrying dust and stick to the motherboard. Dust on cipset can be dangerous when on leave.
